What is present truth? Taken from 2 Peter 1:12, simply put, it is truth from Scripture God is revealing and emphasizing in any season or generation to his people for the purpose of initiating new things, transforming his church, igniting revival, restoration and reformation, and ultimately advancing his Kingdom in the nations.
When this happens, it usually puts the new at odds with the old. Sometimes the greatest enemy of the fresh move of God has been the previous move of God. The religious spirit will always oppose “present truth.” It always wants to keep the church at status quo and not progressive and moving forward.
But even though this spirit will challenge “present truth” – it will continually lose, because God always has a remnant in every generation with ears to hear, and a heart to obey, that will be willing vessels for Him to use to proclaim “present truth” in order to advance His Kingdom.
